We will begin the morning with breakfast before proceeding to the briefing point for Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest. Accompanied by experienced Park Guides and Trackers, we will enter the Forest in search of a habituated Chimpanzee Community. Kibale is renowned for its primate diversity and while Chimpanzees are the main focus, the Forest environment also offers opportunities to encounter other Primates and Birdlife. Once the Chimpanzees are located, we will spend the permitted viewing time observing their natural behaviour, which may include feeding, grooming, travelling through the Forest and communicating with one another. After the trek, we will return to the Lodge before beginning our transfer towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey will take approximately 2–3 Hours. Upon arrival, check-in to the Lodge for your overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today, start the day with an early breakfast before heading into the Kasenyi Plains for a morning Game Drive. The open Savannah landscape provides excellent opportunities to search for Elephants, Buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs, Antelopes and other plains wildlife. We will also keep an eye out for predators, particularly Lions, as we explore the wildlife rich areas of the Park. After the morning Game Drive, we will return for lunch and some relaxation before proceeding to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon Boat Cruise. The cruise provides a different perspective of Queen Elizabeth's wildlife. Along the Banks, we will look for large concentrations of Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and Buffaloes, while numerous Water Birds can be seen around the Channel. After the cruise, we will return to the Lodge for the evening. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, we will make a smooth transfer towards the Ishasha Sector in the Southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Ishasha is particularly famous for its Tree Climbing Lions, which are sometimes seen resting high in the branches of large Fig and Acacia Trees. We will explore the sector with our Guide, using recent wildlife information to maximise our chances of locating these iconic predators. Beyond the Lions, Ishasha supports Elephants, Buffaloes, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Antelopes and other wildlife, making the drive itself an important part of the Safari experience. We will check into our Lodge and enjoy the evening in the peaceful Ishasha surroundings. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, we will leave Ishasha and continue towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The transfer will take us through the Mountainous Southwestern region of Uganda. As we approach Bwindi, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic with rolling hills, cultivated slopes and dense Forest. We will arrive at the Lodge, where we will check-in and enjoy free time to relax. The afternoon will be intentionally kept free so that we can rest and prepare for the following morning's Mountain Gorilla Trekking experience. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This will be the principal highlight of the safari. After an early breakfast, we will proceed to the relevant briefing point before entering Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for the Mountain Gorilla Trekking experience. We will trek with the Ranger and tracking team through the Ancient Rainforest in search of the allocated Gorilla Family. The duration of the trek will depend on the location and movement of the Gorillas and the terrain can be challenging due to Bwindi's Mountainous landscape. Once we locate the Gorillas, we will spend the regulated viewing period observing them in their natural environment. We may see them feeding, grooming, resting, playing and interacting with other members of their Family. After completing the trek, we will return to the lodge for lunch and some time to rest. Later in the afternoon, we will enjoy a Batwa Cultural Experience, providing an opportunity to learn about the traditional Forest Heritage and Cultural History of the Batwa people. We will then return to the Lodge for our final evening in Bwindi. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, we will check-out and begin the final transfer of the safari. Depending your flight arrangements, you will be transferred to either Entebbe International Airport or Kibale International Airport for your return home. Meals: Breakfast
