Brach Madrid, Evok Collection

5 Star HotelMadrid

About the Resort

Completed in 1922, this seven storied building stood on a plot of land steeped in history as the former residence of Victor Hugo. The current building has welcomed illustrious tenants such as the Alfonso family, who were a famous dynasty of photojournalists. Restored and enhanced, the architecture resonates with Philippe Starck's 1920's and 1930's vision. Every space, detail, material and object expresses a modern nostalgia, contrasting Spanish souls. The telluric force of the Lobby, paved entirely with Terracotta, responds to the weightlessness of the Celestial Whites of La Capsule while the rusticity of the Restaurant's woven leather ceilings contrast with the sophistication of an Art Gallery window. Poetic memory and opposing polarities form the indefinable and magnetic unity of Brach where guests will returns endlessly because it is so cherished.
